These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The Service is a free-to-use web tool that generates AI summaries of publicly available videos (currently YouTube links) that you submit. No account is required. Key features and limits of the free tier are described on the site itself.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit URLs for content you do not have the right to access or process where the platform restricts it;
- Use the Service to infringe copyrights or other rights of third parties;
- Attempt to circumvent usage quotas or rate limits, or access the Service through automated means at scale (reasonable personal automation is tolerated; scraping the Service itself is not);
- Upload or transmit unlawful, harmful, or malicious content (relevant to future features);
- Misrepresent the origin of summaries generated by the Service.
3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Summaries are produced by automated AI systems from video audio/transcripts and may contain errors, omissions, or misrepresentations. They are provided "as is" for informational convenience and are not a substitute for the original content. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose (e.g., exam preparation). Verify important facts against the original video.
4. Third-Party Platforms & Non-Affiliation
- The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google LLC, or any video platform. "YouTube" and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners, used descriptively.
- The Service processes only links that users submit. It does not provide video downloads, and summaries link back to the original video with timestamps.
- Our processing of submitted links is limited to generating the requested summary; see the Privacy Policy for data handling.
5. Copyright Policy (DMCA-Style Notice & Takedown)
We respect copyright. If you believe a result page infringes your rights:
1. Send notice to hi@vidsummarize.top including: identification of the copyrighted work, the exact result URL on vidsummarize.top, your contact information, a good-faith belief statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.
2. We will remove or disable access to the identified result after validating the notice.
3. Repeat abusers of the tool (identified via anonymous quota mechanisms) may be blocked.
4. If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with the same contact channel.
6. Paid Services and Refunds (effective upon paid launch)
When paid plans become available: subscription terms, billing cycles, and free-tier limits will be displayed at checkout. Because summaries are delivered instantly and the free tier exists for evaluation:
- Digital delivery refunds: given the immediate nature of digital services, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as a goodwill resolution of confirmed technical failures

7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (US$50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; they apply only to the extent permitted.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your infringement of third-party rights, to the extent permitted by law.
